Sydney roads to shut for City2Surf fun run

Sydney roads between the CBD and Bondi Beach, in the city's east, will be subject to road closures and special event clearways on Sunday for the City2Surf race.

Sydneysiders are being reminded of widespread city road closures and special event clearways as more than 80,000 people gear up for the City2Surf fun run.

Roads will be blocked for the 14-kilometre race, from Hyde Park to Bondi Beach, from the early hours on Sunday and reopen between midday and 4pm, NSW Police Superintendent Brad Hodder said in a statement.

Competitors are encouraged to use free public transport, keep an eye on their children in large crowds and be aware of alcohol-prohibited areas at the finish line.
