Sydney Sixers captain Ellyse Perry says she's at ease with her WBBL ladder-leaders being denied a home semi-final.
The Sixers will play the Adelaide Strikers in Adelaide on Friday, with Cricket Australia playing the women's finals as a prelude to the men's BBL finals.
"I know in initial talks with Cricket Australia they're really keen to make this its own stand-alone competition and I think in a couple of years that is really feasible," Perry told reporters on Thursday.
"But at the moment the way that it's played and the opportunities that we have to promote the game in and around men's matches ... has worked really well.
"Certainly Sydney, it's our home ground ... and we love playing there.
"But looking at the decision ... in terms of the long vision for the game and where we want to take this competition, it makes a lot of sense and I can totally understand it."
Perry's Sixers will enter the Adelaide Oval fixture as hot favourites to advance to the grand final and defend their title from last year.
The Sixers beat Adelaide twice in two days last weekend to seal top spot.
Sydney's Alyssa Healy starred in both games, smacking 106 from just 66 balls before making 63 the next day.
Adelaide captain Suzie Bates said her bowlers needed to execute their plans better against Healy in the semi-final.
"We had our plans last weekend as well, some of them didn't come off," Bates told reporters on Thursday.
"We had a really good chat about ways of getting them out and not being too defensive but they have got a really good batting line-up.
"It's not just planning for Alyssa, it's planning for the rest of their line-up too."
