A NSW P-plater allegedly caught driving at 186km/h has had his licence immediately suspended for six months.

Police say they clocked the teenager in a silver BMW doing more than 100km/h over the speed limit at Botany in Sydney's southeast early on Sunday.

The 19-year-old will face court next month.
