Sydney to host next two AFL drafts

The AFL has announced that the next two national drafts will be held in Sydney.

Sydney will host the next two AFL drafts in 2016 and 2017.

The event will visit the city for just the second time in November.

Since it's inception in 1986, the draft was held in Melbourne every year until 2010, with the exception of 1997 where it took place in Adelaide.

Since then, it has been held on the Gold Coast four times, Sydney once and Adelaide once.
