A Sydney maths tutor accused of sexually assaulting several young students has been found guilty of the majority of the charges he was facing.

Quy Huy Hoang, 67, had his bail revoked after being found guilty of nine charges, including sexual intercourse with a child and indecent assault, at Sydney's District Court on Friday.

He was found not guilty of two other charges relating to allegations he had committed an act of indecency on a seven-year-old student between 2007 and 2008.

A nine-week trial commenced after he pleaded not guilty to all 12 counts of abuse.

When the verdicts were announced the mother of one of his victims cried out, relieved at the jury's decision.

One more change is being deliberated by the jury.

The crimes were committed against his pupils, aged between three and eight, in two family homes between 2011 and 2014, the court heard.

Hoang transferred KY Jelly into small Blistex containers and carried it to tutoring lessons in his briefcase, crown prosecutor Paul Leask told the court during the trial.

Mr Leask said the teacher brought lubricant to his lessons, for "no other purpose but sexual intercourse".
