A Sydney woman will remain behind bars until the new year after allegedly stealing items donated to the NSW Rural Fire Service on Christmas Day in Sydney's northwest.
Police allege Josephine Trask, 37, broke into a Schofields supermarket about 3.40pm on Wednesday and stole food, SIM cards and a trolley of food and drinks donated to the RFS.
Officers arrived on the scene a short time later and attempted to stop the woman and a 48-year-old man as they drove away from the scene.
Police allege the woman continued driving, requiring the PolAir helicopter to take over the pursuit.
