Syrian refugees struggle to pay rent

CARE Australia says Syrian refugees displaced in Jordan and Lebanon are having to use their savings to pay for housing and healthcare.

CARE Australia says Syrian refugees displaced in Jordan and Lebanon are having to use their savings to pay for housing and healthcare.

About two-million people have fled Syria for neighbouring countries since the beginning of the conflict.

CARE Australia's Emergency Manager, Meghan Chisholm says Syrian families are facing food shortages as a result of paying high prices for low-quality accommodation.

She has told Marina Freri, Syrian refugees are struggling.
