Syringe used in Sydney robbery attempt

A man has allegedly tried to rob several residents inside an eastern Sydney apartment block, armed with a syringe.

Police are looking for a man who allegedly threatened several residents with a syringe inside a unit block in Sydney's east.

The man forced one of the female residents to escort him outside the Darling Point complex after demanding money from them early on Monday morning.

The woman managed to escaped unharmed, police say.

The would-be robber has been described as Caucasian with blonde hair and in his early 30s. He was last seen at Edgecliff Railway Station.
