Homicide Detective Superintendent Peter Cotter says the size 10 shirt was near the bones of a woman believed to have been aged between 15 and 25, who died maybe less than seven years ago.
The timing's ruled out serial killer Ivan Milat as her murderer.

Mr Cotter says it's hoped someone may remember the shirt, produced by bicycle and garment company Chain Reaction, and help narrow down a short list of 20 to 30 missing females.
