In Pakistan dozens of former Taliban fighters are being released from detention to spend the New Year with their families.
All Taliban recruits were captured by Pakistani soldiers last year. Since then they have been in an army rehabilitation centre.
"These boys were militants who were facilitating the terrorists and all that. They were brought to the process and are not going back to society as useful and productive member of the society," Asif Yasin from the Pakistan Army told BBC.
