NSW's fitness concerns ahead of State of Origin I have eased considerably, with Josh Dugan and James Tamou set to take their place in the Blues side for the series opener.
Tamou spent Monday in hospital being treated for an infected cut and Dugan suffered an arm injury in St George Illawarra's NRL loss to South Sydney last week.
Blues coach Laurie Daley named a 19-man squad on Tuesday to accommodate the injury concerns.
North Queensland prop Tamou wasn't at Star City Casino for the announcement and Dugan had his arm wrapped in a supporting bandage but the duo is now on track to be fit for game one in Sydney on Wednesday week.
"I am still a bit low on energy but that is what it does to you," Tamou told AAP.
"Tomorrow is a bit of a run through and then Thursday is the big session so I will just make sure I am well prepared for that."
Tamou is unlikely to train on Wednesday. Daley didn't know whether Dugan would be right by then.
Robbie Farah has overcome concussion that ruled him out of Wests Tigers' win over Newcastle last weekend and will take part in Wednesday's session.
"James looks to be okay," Daley said.
"We just have to make sure he doesn't do too much. We have to rehydrate him and he may have lost a little bit of weight - we will have to feed him up.
"We just have to be cautious with James to start with."
On Dugan, Daley said: "He is recovering well, but I don't know if he will train tomorrow."
The Blues flew up to their Coffs Harbour base on Tuesday morning and will train for the first time on Wednesday.
Thursday will be their main contact session.
"For me now it's just about doing the right things; ice and physio and that sort of thing to get the swelling down and I should be right to go," Dugan said.
Daley is expected to finalise his 17 for game one on Thursday afternoon. Dugan's inclusion would push Josh Morris out of the team, while Andrew Fifita will likely drop out for Tamou.
