A teenage girl fell to her death from a cliff south of Hobart on Saturday night after leaving a party with friends.

Maggie Lore, a 17-year-old from Richmond, was unable to be revived after she fell off the cliff near Blowhole Road in Blackmans Bay shortly before midnight.

Online tributes have started flowing in for the young woman, with friends remembering a "beautiful soul" who was "always up for an adventure".

Police say Maggie and some of her friends had gone to the area from a nearby party, with a number of revellers witnessing her fall.
