Tasmania's Luke Butterworth retires

With 69 first-class matches to his name, Tasmanian allrounder Luke Butterworth has announced his retirement.

Tasmanian cricketer Luke Butterworth has retired.

The 32-year-old allrounder who played 69 first-class matches and 52 one-dayers for the island state, also represented the Sydney Thunder in early Big Bash League seasons and was picked for an Australia A tour of Pakistan in 2007.

Butterworth hasn't played Sheffield Shield since February last year and on Thursday morning announced the end of his playing career.
