Tassie artist Max Angus dies aged 102

Australian artist Max Angus, best known for his watercolour Tasmanian landscapes, has died aged 102.

Celebrated Tasmanian artist Max Angus has died aged 102.

Work by the renowned painter spans decades and he was best known for his watercolour Tasmanian landscapes.

"Max's work will be remembered for generations to come, as will his immense contribution to the Tasmanian arts community," Tasmania's Arts Minister Vanessa Goodwin said in a statement.
