Teen arrested over Adelaide taxi robbery

Adelaide police have arrested a 14-year-old boy after he allegedly robbed a taxi driver while wielding what's believed to be a knife.

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in Adelaide for allegedly robbing a taxi driver.

The cabbie told police that just before 8pm on Friday, he was approached on Sullivan Road in Elizabeth Park by a youth who threatened him with what looked like a knife.

The youth then fled with a bag containing his earnings. The cabbie called police and the teenager was arrested following a search of the area.

The Elizabeth Park youth, who also had an outstanding warrant, has been charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in court on Monday.
