A man has been charged over the alleged assault of a 14-year-old boy at a home near Wollongong.
Police say a man, 41, and woman, 42, entered the Figtree home on Sunday morning and confronted the teenager.
Police will allege the man assaulted the boy numerous times before smashing a mobile phone and overturning a coffee table then leaving the scene with the woman.
The boy suffered swelling and bruising to his face while the man was charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence using violence and malicious damage.
The 41-year-old has been refused bail and will face Port Kembla Local Court on Monday. The woman was not arrested.
