Teen girl dies in crash near Vic-SA border

A teenage girl has died in a crash with a truck at Mumbannar, near the South Australian border, while three others have suffered serious injuries.

A 16-year-old girl has died in a truck crash that left three others seriously injured near the Victorian-South Australia border.

A car collided with a truck on the Princes Highway in Mumbannar about 7.45am on Wednesday, killing the teenage occupant

The driver of the car, a 42-year-old woman, along with a 33-year-old man and an 11-year-old boy, from Victoria's western district, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The boy suffered pelvic, abdominal and leg injuries and was flown by helicopter to Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital in a serious condition.

The truck driver, a 38-year-old man, was uninjured.
