A Sydney bus driver has ejected a group teenage girls from a bus for racially abusing another passenger, Fairfax media reported.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening on a bus traveling from the city to Maroubra.
Fairfax media reported a group of five girls -- believed to be between the ages of 14 and 17 -- were drinking alcohol on board and began to abuse a female passenger of Asian appearance.
The woman became visibly upset and other passengers defended her, according to Bernd Fichtne, who was traveling on board.
Mr Fichtne said the bus driver stopped and spoke with the group, and then later ejected them when they continued their attack. After disembarking, the girls reportedly chased the bus, banging windows and throwing rocks.

The response of the other passengers and the driver prompted Mr Fichtne to write a letter to Fairfax Media.
He said the trip ended harmlessly because "the group of people on the bus acted in solidarity and were admirably led by the driver, who did much more than his professional duty and deserves the highest commendation".
The incident is the latest in a strong of racially motivated tirades on board public transport.
Many have been caught on camera and uploaded to social media.
Last week passengers on board a Melbourne train united to defend a man being verbally abused, and earlier this month an Asian couple were racially abused by a man on board a Sydney bus.
In February, ABC News presenter Jeremy Fernandez tweeted about a tirade of abuse -- including racist attacks -- he suffered while traveling with his young daughter on a Sydney bus.
