A 17-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a car driven by a 17-year-old P-Plater in western Sydney.

A teenage boy has died after he was hit by a car driven by a P-plater in western Sydney.

The 17-year-old pedestrian was stuck just before 6pm on Thursday on Bennelong Parkway in Homebush Bay and was taken to Westmead Hospital where he died, police say.

The driver, also a 17-year-old male, was not injured and has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
