Teens assault blind man at bus stop

Two teenagers are alleged to have assaulted a vision-impaired man while he waited at a bus stop.

A teenager is due to appear in court charged with allegedly assaulting a vision-impaired man as he waited at a bus stop on NSW's central coast.

The 62-year-old man was waiting for a bus in Gosford on Wednesday night when two males, aged 19 and 17, approached him.

Witnesses say the man was on the ground when the 19-year-old kicked him in the torso before leaving.

The two young men were taken into police custody. The younger man was released without charge while the other was charged with assault and will appear in court on Thursday.

The victim was treated in hospital for a cuts on his face, elbows and hands and pain to his jaw.
