A WA man went into anaphylactic shock after allegedly being pepper-sprayed by three teenagers in Perth's outer-northern suburbs.

A man who went into anaphylactic shock after allegedly being pepper-sprayed by teenagers in Perth says he thought he was going to die.

Father-of-four Nick Deveny says he was approached in a Butler shop car park on Sunday night by three teenagers who demanded money and cigarettes before attacking him.

He managed to drive home where his wife gave him CPR before paramedics arrived and took him to hospital for treatment.

"They could have killed me, they could have been up for a manslaughter charge ... my wife would have been a widow," he told Seven News.
