Telstra offers free wi-fi for all

Anyone with a smartphone, tablet or other enabled device will have free access to 400,000 or so Telstra Air hotspots this weekend.

Telstra is giving away more free internet access, although this time it's via wi-fi and not just for its own customers.

Anyone with a phone, tablet or other enabled device will have free access to 400,000 or so Telstra Air hotspots from Friday to Monday, to mark next week's World Wi-Fi Day.

Telstra has twice given customers a free mobile data day this year as an apology for network outages.
