Test stars set to play local one-day comp

Australia's Test squad players are set to participate in the domestic one-day competition, with the tour of Bangladesh expected to be cancelled.

This month's domestic one-day cricket competition is set to get a huge boost with Australia's Test players poised to participate if the tour of Bangladesh is cancelled as expected.

The Test squad players have returned to their respective state teams to train, with captain Steve Smith facing Australian colleagues Josh Hazlewood and Stephen O'Keefe in the SCG nets on Wednesday morning.

An announcement on the future of the Bangladesh tour is expected on Thursday.

The domestic one-day competition starts on Monday and goes for three weeks, with all matches to be played in Sydney.
