Australian mini-series The Secret River has landed in the overnight top 10 most watched programs, while House Rules won the reality TV show battle.
The Secret River, based on the novel of the same name about early colonisation of Australia and conflict with the indigenous inhabitants, was eighth with 729,000 viewers on Sunday night.
The OzTAM ratings, though, were won by Nine News (1.332 million viewers), while House Rules (1.086 million) was third and beat reality show rivals, MasterChef (1.083 million) and Reno Rumble (896,000).
