The listing is now offering guests the opportunity to "go back in time and capture memories you'll want to keep".
Located in the regional Victorian town of Bonnie Doon, the holiday home can house up to eight guests.
"Share a slice of Australiana film history", the listing said, with a promise that for $181 per night, it's a "stay you'll be telling people about for weeks".
The film marked its 20th anniversary this year.
The home's Airbnb host, Mel and Ang, told the ABC the listing had gained much attention beyond Australia, with many international guests opting to holiday in the home.

"Others will often come just to have a look and stop to take photos," they said.
"We continue to get a buzz from the reaction guests have when they visit The Castle in Bonnie Doon, and we can't wait to share it with more people - it's just the vibe of the thing."
They hoped to be able to share their love for the film with other fans.
As well as making the home available to the public, Mel also displayed items she thought the Kerrigan family would use around the house and built a pool room in the backyard, akin to the one in the movie.
Mel purchased the house two years ago and spent one year renovating it before offering it for rent.
“Put it this way, if nobody else wants it, I don’t want to see it demolished.”
She said she would have liked to see the second home of the Kerrigan family - near Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport - face a similar situation.
That home is expected to be demolished on Wednesday.
