Third arrested over Melbourne carjacking

A third teenager has been charged in relation to a violent carjacking in Melbourne's east which left a man in hospital.

A third teen has been arrested over a violent carjacking in Melbourne.

A 40-year-old man was hospitalised after he was set upon by a gang of youths armed with a hammer when he got out of his car to inspect damage after his Mercedes was nudged from behind by a car in Malvern East in June.

An 18-year-old Hampton Park teen was arrested last week and charged with numerous offences including armed robbery, assault and stealing a car and is the third teenager charged over the incident.
