Colleen McCullough's widower has won a bitter legal dispute over the famed Australian author's multi million-dollar estate.

Ric Robinson has been battling with his late wife's executor and friend, Selwa Anthony, over who was the sole beneficiary of her estate - him, or the University of Oklahoma Foundation.

Justice Nigel Rein in the NSW Supreme Court on Friday found McCullough intended to bequeath the entire estate to her husband.

Ms Anthony had claimed Mr Robinson took advantage of his wife's ill health to change her will, leaving him everything, before her death on Norfolk Island on January 29, 2015.

She maintained the University of Oklahoma Foundation was the rightful sole beneficiary as per an earlier 2014 will.

But Justice Nigel Rein in the NSW Supreme Court on Friday found the author of The Thorn Birds intended to bequeath the entire estate to her husband.

"The plaintiff has not established that Mr Robinson had coerced Dr McCullough into signing those documents," the judge said in a written judgment summary.

He ordered that each party pay their own legal costs.
