Celebrities may be the headliners of pop culture expo Supanova, but they are arguably overshadowed by fans dressing up in their favourite costumes.
Supanova has come to Perth for the weekend and thousands of people ignored the risk of rain ruining their intricate makeup and costumes to show off their efforts, some having spent several months perfecting their outfits.
The biggest celebrity drawcards at this year's event are Vikings and Warcraft actor Travis Fimmel, Buffy The Vampire Slayer star James Marsters, Australian actor John Jarratt, and the Charmed team including Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause.
Supanova celebrates film, television, fantasy, comic books, anime, science fiction, cartoons, books and gaming.
There is plenty for people to get involved with including fan clubs, musical performances, creative master classes, wrestling, tournaments, competitions and shopping.
Fans also have the opportunity to meet actors through Q&A panels, and autograph and photograph sessions.
