Thousands expected at Qld Pride rally

Thousands are expected to march in this weekend's annual Pride Festival Rally in Brisbane.

Thousands of people are expected to march through Brisbane as part of the annual Pride Festival Rally as the deadline for the marriage equality survey approaches.

The 'Dykes on Bikes' group will lead the procession through Fortitude Valley down Brunswick Street to New Farm Park on Saturday morning.

More than 3000 people took part in 2016.

It comes a day after those against same sex marriage launched their Queensland campaign, at an event featuring the Australian Christian Lobby's Lyle Shelton, federal MP Bob Katter and Keith Mills, a leading "no" campaigner from Ireland.
