An 18-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death after mother-of-two Andrea Lehane was allegedly knocked down by a mini-motorbike in a shopping centre car park in Melbourne.

Two teenage boys have also been charged with reckless conduct endangering life after the 34-year-old was hit on a pedestrian crossing as five youths rode about on "monkey bikes" at Carrum Downs on Wednesday.

Ms Lehane's family switched off her life support and donated her organs on Friday after she suffered "unsurvivable" brain damage.

Police said early on Saturday that an 18-year-old man from Melbourne's southeast had been charged with dangerous driving causing death, culpable driving, failing to render assistance and other serious traffic offences.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday.

A 17-year-old Seaford boy and a 16-year-old Carrum Downs boy have been charged with reckless conduct endangering life, unlicensed riding and having an unregistered vehicle.

They have been bailed to appear at the Children's Court at a later date.

Two other teens, aged 15 and 17, were released after questioning.

More than 700 people have said on Facebook they will attend a candlelight vigil in the shopping centre car park on Sunday night at 7pm.
