An investigation is underway after three children died after a routine immunisation campaign in Nawabshah, in south-east Pakistan, on Sunday.
Parents claimed their children were vaccinated as part of a routine measles vaccination on Maryam Road, but fell critically ill following the immunisation, according to Geo News Pakistan.
Medical Superintendent Dr Mahzar, from the Peoples Medical Hospital, confirmed the routine immunisation took place, while Dr Sikandar Mandhro told Samaa TV an inquiry into how the children died was underway.
The children were allegedly administered expired measles vaccines in the Saeedabad area, according to Samaa TV, but district health officials have denied the accusation.

One of the children died at home, while the other two were transferred to the Peoples Medical Hospital where they died.
