St George Illawarra forward Leeson Ah Mau and North Queensland rake Jake Granville can escape suspension if they make early guilty pleas after being charged by the NRL match review committee.

Mau has been hit with a grade-one careless high tackle for his second-minute shot on Cowboys rookie Jahrome Hughes, while Granville has been stung with the grade-one dangerous throw of the Dragons' Kalifa Faifai Loa.

Dragons winger Jason Nightingale has been slapped with a grade-one tripping charge of Hughes in the same match, but won't miss a game.
