Three killed in German small plane crash

A Cessna plane has crashed in southern Germany, killing three people, police say.

Three people were killed when their Cessna plane crashed into a forest in Ravensburg, in the southern German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, police confirmed.

A large police contingent was deployed to the site of the accident, along with sniffer dogs.

The plane had been en route from Frankfurt-Egelsbach airfield, south of Frankfurt, to Friedrichshafen.

Police had earlier confirmed that three people were on board the business jet when it crashed.
