Three young men have been shot in an Auckland park by an unknown person who opened fire on a large group of people.
The person fired three times at the gathering of about 40 people drinking at Yates Road Reserve in Mangere early on Sunday before running off.
A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious but not life-threatening condition with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and leg while two other men, aged 16 and 24, suffered leg wounds.
