The scheduled WBBL match between the Sydney Thunder and Adelaide Strikers at Penrith has been abandoned because of rain.

The match was due to start at 2:00pm but constant drizzle on Friday afternoon left officials with no alternative than to call it off.

Both teams had one win from their two previous matches this season to share top spot on the table after splitting the points in the washout.
