All Tiger Air domestic flights have been grounded since July 1 after the Civil Aviation Authority started investigating safety concerns.
The initial week-long suspension was extended until August 1 and has to be signed off by the Federal Court, with a hearing now scheduled for next Thursday.
The airline said its flights would, by virtue of the adjournment, remain suspended until at least July 28.
Tiger said it was in talks with CASA about the suspension and it saw no use in having a hearing on Friday while these continued.

CASA said it did not oppose the adjournment sought by Tiger.
A CASA spokesman said the regulator was still aiming to complete its investigations by August 1.
CASA has said Tiger may be able to resume operations before August 1 if the authority has completed its investigation before then and is satisfied the airline no longer poses a serious and imminent risk to aviation safety.
