Tigers probe U20 league player lewd video

A Wests Tigers under-20s league player is likely to be fined and undergo social media education after reportedly being involved in posting a lewd video.

A Wests Tigers Holden Cup rugby league player involved in posting a lewd video on social media is likely to undergo education as part of his sanction for the indiscretion.

According to Fairfax Media, the under-20s player posted a video on social media of his genitalia, which clearly showed the club's logo on his shorts.

Fairfax is reporting that the player, who is likely to be fined and forced to undergo social media education, took images of himself in front of the club's advertising signage, which later appeared on Tumblr.

The club held an urgent meeting with the player on Monday night and informed the NRL integrity unit of the matter.

The Tigers released a statement on Tuesday evening, saying: "Wests Tigers have been made aware of an incident involving a Holden Cup squad member.

"The club is currently investigating the incident internally with those involved to ensure that the matter is dealt with correctly.

"The club will make no further comment at this time."
