The United Nations Relief and Works Agency says the time for humanitarian action alone in Gaza is long gone, and it's time for political action to bring about long-term peace.

The time for humanitarian action alone is long gone -- it's time for political action.

That's the message from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in the wake of the latest Israeli-Palestinian conflict that's left thousands of Palestinians dead and hundreds of thousands displaced.

UNRWA says rebuilding in Gaza is underway, but in order for peace to be secured in the long-term, the blockade of the Palestinian territory must be lifted.

Spokesman Chris Gunness is in Jerusalem, and he's speaking with Kristina Kukolja.
