Titans finally name unchanged NRL squad

Gold Coast half Ash Taylor is relishing playing with the same personnel on the pitch for two weeks in a row when they take on North Queensland in the NRL.

For the first time in 363 days, Gold Coast will put the same 17 players on the pitch for consecutive weeks in the NRL when they take on North Queensland on Saturday.

While it is only two weeks in a row, Titans playmaker Ash Taylor is looking forward to it.

"It makes things a lot easier when you're playing with the same guys around you, it's a lot easier to get the message across and that's something we'll need up in Townsville," Taylor said.

The last time they named an unchanged squad was during their round 13 fixture last season, which led to a golden-point victory over South Sydney and started their charge up the table.

Taylor is hoping a win against the seventh-placed Cowboys will spur a similar run.

"I want us to start playing the same standard of footy I know we can and put a bit of form together, I don't think we've been at the standard we should be.

"We have a lot of depth here (for a charge up the ladder) plenty of different players who have different qualities.

"I want to keep improving and I want to take the team with me."

Only two points separate the 12th-placed Gold Coast, who were on a three-game winning streak before a tough loss to Manly last round, and the top eight.
