A two-year-old boy has drowned in a pool in Sydney's southwest.

A toddler has drowned in a pool in Sydney's southwest.

The two-year-old boy was found in a pool at a home in Bass Hill at around 6.45pm on Sunday, a NSW Police spokesman said.

The child was rushed to Westmead Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A crime scene was established and police are investigating.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
