The match review panel booked the in-form midfielder for striking Port Adelaide's Kane Mitchell during the win on Sunday at Adelaide Oval.

Scully was fined $1500, which becomes a $1000 penalty if, as expected, he takes an early plea.

He was among four players in finals-bound teams who were charged with offences that warrant suspension at the upper end of the scale.

Scully's teammate Toby Greene was charged with misconduct for pushing Brendon Ah Chee into a fence.

West Coast pair Jamie Cripps and Jeremy McGovern were booked for rough conduct.

Like Scully, they can all accept $1000 fines with early pleas.

Cripps was charged with misconduct against Melbourne ruckman Max Gawn and McGovern's fine is for an incident with Dean Kent.

Geelong utility Steven Motlop and Adelaide onballer Matt Crouch can accept $1000 fines for wrestling with each other.
