Tomic loses in Ecuador tennis

Top seed Bernard Tomic has lost his quarter-final with Italian Paolo Lorenzi at the Ecuador Open.

The Australian world No.20 Tomic went down to the sixth seed 6-7 (5) 7-5 6-3.

Brazil's Thomaz Bellucci advanced to the semi-finals with a 7-6 4-6 6-2 win over Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta.
