Tomic through to third round in Acapulco

Australian Bernard Tomic has beaten France's Adrian Mannarino in straight sets to go through to the third round of the Acapulco Open in Mexico.

Bernard Tomic has won through to the third round of the ATP Tour's Acapulco Open in Mexico after downing Frenchman Adrian Mannarino in straight sets.

The Australian world No.23 beat Mannarino 6-4 6-4 and will now face either American Ryan Harrison or Ukrainian Illya Marchenko in the third round.

Fifth-seed Tomic is the only Australian remaining in the tournament after Sam Groth and John Millman were knocked out in the first round.
