A graphic video has emerged of a Papuan man being poked in the genitals with a fiery stick as he is interrogated by men, The Age reports.
This video, by the Asian Human Rights Commission posted on YouTube, alleges to show Indonesian soldiers torturing Papuans. SBS cannot verify it. Some viewers may find the images disturbing.
The video appears to have been taken with a mobile phone by one of the interrogators, who speak with Javanese and Ambonese accents and wear plain clothes.
Indonesian police and troops are known to often wear civilian clothing in such situations, but The Age was unable to verify whether Indonesian security officials were involved.
Later in the video, an M-16 rifle is pointed at the man's mouth.

The video was posted on YouTube three days ago by someone with the moniker papualiberationarmy, The Age reports, although it appears to have now been removed.
It follows criticism of the Indonesian government about abuses by its security forces in relation to the long-running struggle for independence in Indonesian-controlled Papua, which an independent Indonesia gained control of following the Dutch withdrawal.
