Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer is back in front of the cameras - but in a very different role, with the ex-Trump official making his Dancing With the Stars debut in the US on Monday.
Instead of promoting and defending the work of a controversial president, Mr Spicer donned a neon ruffled shirt and did the salsa to a Spice Girls song.
The audience seemed impressed, giving Mr Spicer a standing ovation, but the judges rated him just 12 out of a possible 20.
Judge Bruno Tonioli said, "there was some element of salsa there, not always on time or on rhythm".
Social media reaction has ranged from confusion to outright disdain for the Republican.
In the lead-up, Mr Spicer tweeted, "once you see the outfit I have to wear tonight you won’t forget for quite some time — even after lots of therapy".
Mr Spicer served as Donald Trump's press secretary from January 2017 until his resignation in July 2017.
He controversially insisted that the crowds at Mr Trump's inauguration were the largest ever at such an event, while photographs seemed to suggest otherwise.
