Toto's Africa will rock the Namib desert - on a loop for "all of eternity" - thanks to an artist's sound installation.
Namibian-German Max Siedentopf is behind the solar paneled installation, which was inspired by the artist's desire to pay homage to what he describes as “probably the most popular songs of the last four decades.”
The work consists of six speakers attached to an MP3 player set up in the southern African coastal desert, which stretches some 2000km.

The 1982 classic soft rock melody achieved platinum status five times in Australia and recently enjoyed a resurgence of popularity in the digital age, becoming one of the most streamed songs in 2017.
The official music video has been viewed more than 440 million times on YouTube.
Although Siedentopf hopes the song will continue to play for all time, he is realistic about the installation's durability, telling the BBC: "most parts of the installation were chosen to be as durable as possible, but I'm sure the harsh environment of the desert will devour the installation eventually".
