Lleyton Hewitt, Samantha Stosur and Casey Dellacqua will take to Rod Laver Arena on Saturday as they aim to ensure the nation is represented in singles in the second week of the Australian Open.
Dellacqua has what looms as the toughest challenge of the three local survivors, taking on former world No.1 Venus Williams in the final day match on Melbourne Park's main court.
But the unassuming West Australian, who made a memorable run to the fourth round two years ago, said she would not be sitting back and allowing the powerful American to control the match.
"I'm going to have to step it up and be aggressive," Dellacqua said.
"... I have played (Venus and Serena Williams) in doubles, I do have a fair idea of what I'm gonna be in for.

"I have to focus on what I do, I'm going to have to serve well and feel comfortable off the ground and be aggressive.
"I'll just keep putting in everything I've got once again and just see how it goes."
Stosur, the 13th seed, is rated a better chance of moving through to the fourth round when she takes on unseeded Italian Alberta Brianti in the opening match of the day.
Hewitt-Baghdatis could recall 2008 classic
Hewitt will meet another former Open runner-up Marcos Baghdatis in the opening night match, with the Cypriot's popularity in Melbourne meaning the Australian is unlikely to have the total crowd support he is used to.
But he will be able to call on the memory of downing Baghdatis in an epic five-set clash at the same stage of the 2008 tournament.
Men's and women's world No.1s Roger Federer and Serena Williams will also play their third round matches on Saturday.
Williams will meet Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro, the woman who ousted her sister from last year's event.
In another feature clash, Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and German Tommy Haas will face off in a night match at Hisense Arena.
Nadal through, Clijsters falls
Men's defending champion Rafael NadalL is through to the fourth round after downing Germany's Phillip Kohlschreiber 6-4 6-2 2-6 7-5.
Nadal will next meet Ivo Karlovic who beat fellow Croatian Ivan Ljubicic, also in four sets.
Women's former world number one im Clijsters put in a shocker to be thrashed 6-0 6-1 by Russia's Nadia Petrova while third seed Svetlana Kuznetsova came from a set down to beat German qualifier Angelique Kerber 3-6 7-5 6-3.
