Richmond have lost durable utility Shaun Grigg with a hamstring injury for Sunday's AFL clash against Fremantle.

Grigg played every game in last year's premiership season and all six rounds so far this year.

He has played less than 20 games only once in the last seven seasons.

Jacob Townsend will take his place and, as expected, the Tigers named captain Trent Cotchin.

But Cotchin has a knee problem and must pass a fitness test before he plays against the Dockers at the MCG.

Along with losing Michael Walters to a knee injury, the Dockers have managed Michael Johnson.

Ethan Hughes and Brennan Cox are their replacements.

Melbourne recalled Christian Petracca and also named Jesse Hogan for Sunday's Etihad Stadium game against St Kilda.

Petracca missed a game after a dog bite on his hand became infected and he needed surgery.

Hogan rolled his ankle last weekend, but the Demons think the star pair will play.

Petracca replaces Christian Salem, who has a thumb injury.

David Armitage headlines the Saints' three recalls, along with Hunter Clark and Rowan Marshall.

They replace Blake Acres (managed), Jack Sinclair and Brandon White.

Collingwood dropped Callum Sinclair, meaning four changes for their danger game against Brisbane at the Gabba.

Darcy Moore, Taylor Adams, Travis Varcoe and Ben Crocker will return, as expected, while Ben Reid, Brayden Maynard and James Aish were already confirmed outs because of injury.

Brisbane's Matt Eagles, who won the reality TV show The Recruit two years ago, will make his AFL debut.

Luke Hodge will return, while the Lions dropped Ryan Lester for the second time this season and Nick Robertson is suspended.
