Tourism leader argues for visa reform

A tourism leader is calling for Australia to change a system which has Chinese visitors paying more than six times for a visa than Europeans and Americans.

A tourism industry leader is calling on the government to reduce the cost of a visa for Chinese tourists.

Tourism and Transport Forum chief Margy Osmond, in a pre-budget submission obtained by Fairfax Media, argues for visa changes.

Chinese tourists pay more than six times as much for a visa than visitors from Europe, America and Hong Kong.
