Treasurer Scott Morrison says Australia's economic growth figures are "very encouraging".
The economy unexpectedly grew at a healthy three per cent rate in 2015.
The latest national accounts showed the economy expanded by 0.6 per cent in the final three months of the year after an upwardly revised 1.1 per cent increase in the September quarter.
Mr Morrison told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday there was global economic uncertainty and volatility.
"Our growth performance at three per cent through the year in these figures is very encouraging and should be a pat on the back for every Australian who's been out there making this transition of our economy work," he said.
